The use of Guaifenesin (Guai) is still experimental but a study of people in New Zealand using it will provide good data for others considering it's use.
More knowledge is definitely needed as people undertake
to use Guaifenesin in New Zealand on a widespread basis.

Past Updates re sourcing Guaifenesin InternationallyPast News at 10 April 2002
With the recent closure due to new Australian regulations, of the service from the Australian Pharmacy who was supplying Guai, we are looking internationally for new sources of good quality Guaifenesin at a competitive price to users.
There are various sources to be found from searching on the Guai-support Website.
We are negotiating now with a source in New Zealand who are producing Guaifenesin. To date, this source only has 300mg capsules available in small quantities. We will update this site as soon as new information is available.
At 10 April 2002, Gardens Pharmacy in England offered a reliable and very competitive service of excellent quality Guai. (They now require scrip - 30 03 02_Ed.)

Auckland Fibromyalgia Support confirms that
Written comments after meetings held in Auckland on 11th April 2002 when
Megan Parker spoke on Guaifenesin.
People came from as far afield as Kaiwaka in Northland;
Port Waikato, Matamata, Tauranga and Whakatane in the South.
"Thank you both very much for a sharing, enlightening
and empowering meeting last night" - D.L.
"I really enjoyed the support meetings, It was nice to meet so many people
in the same situation as I am who are doing lots of positive things.
It was good to hear so many positive things about the Guai treatment too.
I hope to go on Guai at some stage, when the time is right." - B-M N.
"Thanks for organising the wonderful night last night.
It was really great to have the earlier function and get-together
as everyone had a lot of questions
& it was great to have everyone together just to discuss things.
I'm sure everyone got a lot out of it. Thanks once again" - B.W.
"Well done for last night. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone
at your lovely place and I gained lots of ideas.
I think the most encouraging thing was seeing so many people smiling.
I think I have forgotten how - one thing to look forward to again as I recover.
Thank you again. Well done and bless you both" - J.H.
"Thank you for a most interesting and helpful evening.
Also for all the effort put into spreading helpful information.
It was well worth the effort of coming to Auckland" - K.R. & M.R.
"I had a wonderful time at the Guai evening, thank you for arranging everything!
We arrived home just before midnight. Despite what I said earlier in the night,
I didn't go to sleep on the way home at all! Too much to think about." :-) - W.H.
