DR MARY RUTH SWOPE
A best selling Author and leading International Nutritional Educator, Dr Mary Ruth Swope was in New Zealand, only for a few days, on a private visit. She agreed to speak to the public for one session in Auckland, Tauranga and Christchurch.
Dr Mary is well known internationally as an educator, speaker, researcher and writer. If you ever asked: ‘What has happened to my health?’ or ‘What can I do about it?’, then, here was a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to experience Dr Swope’s expert knowledge and wisdom on these subjects first-hand. Dr Mary Ruth Swope’s presentation answered all these questions when she spoke on ‘Showing People How To Survive the 21st Century Diet’, and gave natural scientific solutions to a diet gone wrong.
Dr Mary Swope earned her Doctorate at Columbia University, New York. She did undergraduate studies at Winthrop College, Rock Hill, S.C., and completed her Master’s work in foods and nutrition at the University of North Carolina. Dr Swope spent 20 years as Dean of the School of Home Economics, at Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Illinois.
After retiring in 1980, Dr Mary Swope conducted nine research projects and wrote 37 professional journal publications on nutrition. She is the author of eight books, including:
‘The Green Leaves of Barley’,
‘Surviving the 20th Century Diet’,
‘Bless Your Children Every Day’
and the classic evergreen:
‘Are you Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired?’
