Dr Mary Ruth Swope

the 21st Century Diet’Dr Mary Swope earned her Doctorate at Columbia University, New York.
She did undergraduate studies at Winthrop College, Rock Hill, S C,
and completed her Master's work in foods and nutrition at the University of North Carolina.
She spent 20 years as the Dean of the School of Home Economics,
at Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Illinois.
After retiring in 1980, Dr Mary Swope conducted nine research projects
and wrote 37 professional journal publications on nutrition.
She is the author of eight books, including:
