INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF VOLUNTEERS
You will all be aware that 2001 was the 'International Year of Volunteers' and around the country there was various 'happenings' to celebrate the input made by volunteers to the various communities.
I never cease to be amazed by the huge input of volunteers to the Arthritis Foundation and am happy to inform you that the Arthritis Foundation NZ Inc participated during the year by recognising this input.
I suggest that, if people want more information about events during the International Year of Volunteers, they contact local volunteer centres. I hope everyone recognises how useful their centre is - I know we use the one in Wellington often.
